hey,
first off, great documents for 1-80 leveling prot. I'm leveling one myself (only lv 15) and i was wondering when a prot warrior would be pretty ready to take down more than one mob at a time. i'm sort of dabbling in it right now, and sometimes it's really easy if i get good revenge procs, but sometimes i nearly die from fighting the exact same mob b/c revenge hardly procc'd at all in the fight. suggestions?

Col, I am curantly sitting at lvl 70 w/ my prot warrior. Here is my rotation, I usually have 5 to 7 mobs at me on a time. Thunder clap, back up and use shockwave, this stuns them and gives you time to lay down a demo shout and a shield block. Revenge right after, then start devestating unless either shield slam is up, sword and board procs, (which refreshes the cooldown on shield slam, or revenge pops. Keep spamming Thunder clap whenever the cooldown is up. and if shockwave lights back up, back up again and use it. I usually get out of the fight with only a quarter of my hp lost.

Invited a friend for 3 x XP, got BoAs, started a warrior and took 1 - 20 in a couple of hours (he's a resto druid). Found this guide very helpful since I didn't know that much about warriors, so thanks a lot!
Peace.

Any chance you could provide a quick summary of what abilities I should be normally using while questing? Is Sunder worthwhile for quest trash? I've usually been using TC, Rend and then spamming HS/Revenge.

Thanks!

Hey Virge, I'd have to test it, I don't remember how far into my leveling it was when I started going defensive...

I'm pretty sure though that I started using defensive stance for my prot warrior around level 14, which is when you get revenge (only usable in defensive stance).

When you've got revenge prot really comes into its own thanks to shield spec, and then improved revenge further down the tree.

Hey Jon,

Thank you very much for this talent guide! I have just started leveling a Horde warrior and the explanation you give for every talent is great. It has been a great help so far!

One question though: at which level should you start questing in defensive stance? I find that, at level 12, I'm killing things faster in battle stance than in defensive stance.

Thanks again for this guide, I'm looking forward to using the other warrior talent guides!

Kind regards,

Virge

Hey - I'll do a post soon on glyphs to round out all the warrior specs I've written about. But for level 20, the best glyphs for prot are (in my order of preference) glyph of revenge, or glyph of rending for majors, and for minors, see if you can find yourself glyph of bloodrage.

If you can't find these cheap (you should be able to inscription has FLOODED the market with glyphs), I wouldn't fret. At low levels it won't be a huge deal.

Comment: I want to try and level as a prot warrior. I've just respeced my first 10 points as you've put here. What glyphs would you recommend for my first major/minor spots?
