Today’s WoW Quote of the Day is from the Blizz forums about the drop rate of Dark Herring rare fish. I lol’d in real life at Ancilorn’s response, which apparently wasn’t meant to offend or be trolling nature. Certainly seems that way to me though which is why I laughed so hard at “I have two, though”.
The guys and girls that post and “hang out” in the forums a lot, such as Ghostcrawler et al must find it very, very difficult to not lash out sometimes, I imagine…!

I have no idea who is concerned about this matters , I honestly dont even care, just fix the damn drop rate peeps of Blizzard. I have been grinding the Dark Herring rare fish since last summer and its the only thing i have left for claiming my salty title. Talked more than once to Gms in-game and none couldn’t help with this issue. Make it drop or charge me the achievement done via mailbox i don’t care. This is rly anoyying and idiotic.

This would imply the drop rate is broken. It isn’t, but you basically have a very very very small chance of getting it each time you fish in a location where it can drop. The chance is non-cumulative, meaning in time, the percentage chances of catching it are not increased. Each cast has the same low chance of getting it.
